Ms. Aury Rios Alcántara

Aury Rios Alcantara is a graduating senior at Kentucky State University, where she serves as the Student regents and 91st President of the Student Government Association (SGA) for the 2024-2025 academic year. Fist generation student from Indianapolis, Indiana,  Agriculture Business major with a minor in Psychology, and she plans to focus her career in the field of herbalism. A dedicated and passionate student leader, Aury embodies the motto, "A leader is a dealer of hope," and strives to inspire those around her to reach their full potential.

Throughout her time at Kentucky State University, Aury has been an active and influential member of the campus community. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., currently serving as the Vice President of the Eta Alpha Chapter and 2nd year social media coordinator. Aury's leadership journey also includes serving as the 2024-2025 Miss Black and Gold, as well as her previous role as the SGA Second Vice President for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Beyond her work in student government, Aury holds significant positions in several organizations, including serving as the Assistant Tamius Gramadius for the State of Kentucky Zetas,2023-2024 Secretary for the NOIR Black Business Club, and an active member of KSU Girls Rock, Essence, and Envyus. She also dedicates her time as a mentor at the Promising Youth Center and is involved with the Psi Chi Honor Society, and SSS.Aury is also a entrepruer with a nail business, NailedByTriple7, where she applies her creativity and business acumen to provide services to the community. She is also an advocate for academic success and social empowerment, making a lasting impact both on and off campus. With a well-rounded background in leadership, business, and community service, Aury is a passionate advocate for student empowerment.
