This project is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that helps small-scale and socially disadvantaged growers increase market of produce directly to consumers by improving water quality.

Project Objectives:

  • Provide water quality testing to determine presence of E. coli in irrigation water.
  • Offer consultations to producers on water test results and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Provide educational support to farmers concerning the importance of water quality and produce safety.
  • Connect farmers to resources to increase their sales by becoming FSMA compliant.
